Power Conditioning

I am thinking about getting some kind of power conditioner, what could I get that wouldn't be too costly? Below 100? What kind of difference could I expect?

The HTS3500 ($133, which is above your price range) is used a lot, but apparently it isn't actually a line conditioner (It doesn't keep the voltage at a stable 120v). Just thought I should mention this so that people can recommend actual line conditioners (I used to think the HTS3500 was a line conditioner until I realized this...).

I haven't used a power conditioner before so I can't really comment on the difference in SQ. Based on what I've read, though, it should be a rather small difference that is only noticeable if you have "bad" power where you live.

are you kidding? Its like bliss. ALL the hiss / hum is removed. If you have any ac line noise such as notebooks, etc...it wil remove that noise. These are necessary at meets...people dont realize it...but with so much on one circuit...there is bound to be noise....so you need it.

These units also protect against surges, overvoltaging, etc. Get one no matter what

Same experience here.

What model of Furman conditioners do you guys use? I'm looking into their line of balanced conditioners...but, not sure their Home Theater products are worth the premium in cost over the pro a/v line.

Thanks,
Michael

So should I plug in my amp and source to the conditioner?

My source is my computer, is that still okay with this conditioner? Do I need to plug in a computer?

plug all your stuff into the conditioner. I just wouldn't plug like a dishwasher, dryer and fridge in too LOL

I just read all the reviews at musicians friend on the m-8, they don't sound like it is too great... Has anyone here personally used the M-8?

Does anybody use Monster Power line conditioners and surge protector?
I am in a market for a decent surge protector for my system (Singlepower PPX3/Home Theater system).
