Need an IEM to match AKG K81DJ (for the price and sound)

Thread Starter
AKG K81DJ became my main headphones (except serious listening sessions with AKG K340 at home). Now I really cant enjoy my Koss KSC-35 and Sony MDR-EX81. I have nothing to do with my KSC-35 because I beleive that they are still the best at their category. But I MUST BUY AN IEM TO REPLACE MY SONY EX81, because I cant enjoy them any more! I need your recommendations. I have Sennheiser CX300 and Altec Lansing im 717's in mind. Any other suggestions at the matching price range? Thanks for your replies.

The Shure e2 series isn't bad. They are quite comfortable to listen with and definitely better than the Sony EX81s.

I agree...especially for the noise-blocking aspect. From my experience IEMs provide much better comfort at the same if not better noise blocking levels of big cans.

IMHO you can't really compare a full sized can to IEM.

I also have the K81s and I would recommend the UM1's from westone I also have these and although they don't reach the sonic heights of the K81 they are good and they're both keepers. I enjoy both phones and still listen to both depending on the activity
