Henmyr, ASR exaggerated the bass, IMO. I've heard the ATH-AD2000 on a few configs and it's always been light on bass. Of course, it depends where you're coming from and what you consider appropriate amounts of bass.

considering the ad900 & 2000
is the 2000 , virtually ,a 900 but with better base?

Not just better bass.
They are quite different IMO, AD2000 are less airy, warmer and the sound more close to your ears.
