i really like her voice as well. when i first heard the open door, i didn't think much of it, but the more i listened, the more i enjoyed it.

Evanescence is emo?

There are great Emo bands though, just that it became cool to hate emo. Or something like that.

I think he means that it's something that emo chicks would listen to with the mindframe that if they listen to it, it's probably going to suck (which is pretty much true). That and their lyrics :P

Same goes for HIM. Neither band has any depth IMO. Anathema (newer material) would be a better choice.

There are plenty (millions?) of people who disliked 'emo' music the first second they heard it. I am willing to give anyone the benefit of the doubt there provided that they look like they would oppose it / their musical taste reflects opposition (sorry Hardcore kids)
