I love my Shunyata Taipan VX on my X-ray V3. It totally changes the sound for the better. Actually it makes the x-ray sound a little more like my old turntable if that makes any sense. I definitely don't like the x-ray as much without the taipan.

You mean it sounds more analogue. yes, good cables tend to do that, bring the best sound out of the equipment. The harsh digital edges are gone!
Usually also better background(blacker) and detail.

I'll Definitely go on tape here and say that, yes indeed, in my two systems (Esoteric DV50->blockhead->HD650) & (EMM Labs CDSD/DCC2->HEV90->HE90) I have seen a tremendous improvement with powercords. Especially in the Electrostat setup. I recently put on some Virtual Dynamics Masters and Revelations Power Cords (YES Voltron, my system has now been reborn with the faith of SPEED OF GOD!). It looks monstrous. Anyway, the sound improvment in NOT subtle, and I can go back and forth and really hear it.

Now I will say that the biggest improvement to me is especially had when the power cord is coming out of regenerated power. Since the signal is clean, the power cord really becomes noticable. I have NEVER heard my system sound this good. It is positively addictive.

Btw, I put the Revelation on the Orpheus, the Masters on the CDSD Transport. I have a Shunyata Copperhead that loves my DAC (DCC2). I have a PSAudio Powercord going from the P600 Powerplant to the wall.

One of the things I dislike about certain headphones (especially the high end ones), and also especially the HE90 is that it can sometimes tend towards sibilance. I used to think this was in large part due to the HEV90 and also just the clarity of the HE90 coming through on recordings. However, after these powercord 'upgrades', I have seen first hand that sibilance, and the way that the transients are presented in general is altogether different. Much Much better and more natural.

I have installed a dedicated cable with a goldplated fuse directly form the incoming power
of my house,i´ve also changed all stock cables in my system.
Everything done with Agile powerwires.

That was one of,if not the biggest improvement in my system ever,
I agree totally with Neil on the sibilance and transients issue.
It has also done fantastic improvement on the instrument separation,
clarity and harshness, the music is so easy and natural to listen to.
Well spent money. Those who don´t belive in powercables or interconnectcables
don´t know what they are missing.

I had been experimenting with some DIY belden 83808 power cables... at first i thought they had great detail, but as they burned in, the mids never fleshed out. i recently recabled with some bulk DH Labs power plus and wow... they're definitely worth the 6 bucks/ft.
