Bass Guitar Cable

Anyone DIYers play bass here?

I'm looking for a cable for my bass to amp 1/4" to 1/4" in the ~50 range. Something around 3m. Would a DIY work or should I go with an el cheapo instrument cable ~10?

Techflex and a velcro cable tie would be awesome. One end would be a elbow plug while the other would be straight. A 1/4" to 1/8" adapter would be awesome as well (for plugging into my soundcard).

What type of cable would best suit bass?

Just buy some canare gs-6 instrument cable and neutrik TRS mono ends, and you should be set. You can get everything at redco.com
Or if you dont want to go DIY, www.lavacable.com is the way to go for nice cables.

Dimarzio cables are often used.
