KGSS (max'd version) vs. Aristaeus

I am interested in the thought processes and considerations as to why one would favor one of these amplifiers over the other (besides solid state vs. tube.)

I also would appreciate any information on the Aristaeus amp since I could not find it on the Headamp web site.

I would be interested to hear from those who purchased the Aristaeus as to what features led them to consider this amp. I guess no one has received their amp as of this time.

Well i own an aristaeus and happen to like it.
But some people would say i have a slight bias...
Something around 580 volts.

Sure would be nice to have the matching case one of these days.
The cardboard box and getting knocked on my butt is getting a bit
old.

Aristaeus??? Wasn;t that the fabled amp that pre-orders were taken over a year ago and deposits paid

I tried to do a search on it but I can't find any posts from it owners at all. Unless of course they still haven't recieved it over a year after some members have paid for it.

So there are some poeple who have he90's or omega 2's they may not have heard yet just sitting there?

It would be interesting to hear from members like digitalbill, gpalmer, ayt999, braillediver etc as IIRC they have ordered if any of them have recieved theirs.

What are their impressions and evaluations compare to other combo's.

100% sure nobody has received theirs yet (except for the good doc, because he built it himself I believe?), but apparently according to Justin it's going to be out 'soon'.

I think it's mostly due to the chassis work that it's being delayed, the circuitry was done a while ago? Just waiting for a home.

How long have you waited for yours? I remember you putting one in your sig a while back but then you got an Es-1 instead. Did you cancel that order initailly or did you keep the order open.

It was just putting my name on the 'list' initially -- this time I paid in full.

I am now patiently waiting - I am fine if it appears in 2007.

There must be several features of the Aristaeus amp which intrigued you to the point of purchasing this equipment.

I suspect there is something special about the Aristaeus which have led to the orders and the patience in awaiting its arrival.

If I might politely inquire: What qualities of this amp have led to the purchases?

Correct if I'm wrong but I think its a HEV90 remake. With the benefit of still being in production... well nearly

The problem with dealing with someone like Justin that takes pride in his work is... he won't deliver a half finished amp no matter how hard you beg My KGSS is taking longer than expected but I know when it arrives I won't have to worry about the quality of the work.

Last time I talked to Justin, he told me the lead-time was 4 to 6 weeks on a KGSS. How long have you been waiting?
