WTB: Sub $300 DAC....

Thread Starter
Looking for a DAC to add to my system.

I'm interested in:

MSB
MHDT
Lite Audio (stock or modded)
Great March
....possibly others

Not interested in:

Zhoalu (or however it's spelled)
Most anything with a headphone amp built in (already have awesome amp, IMO)

PM me with details/pricing & hopefully some pics and I'll possibly take it off your hands.

Feedback here and on eBay with same username.

Thanks,

I've got a very lightly used Scott Nixon USB Chibi Saru with standard psu:

It was purchased brand new earlier this year in anticipation of also buying an Apple MacBook as a source, but I don't see myself getting a MacBook for another year or so, so I am thinking about letting the USB Chibi go.

I tested it on my dad's iMac and it's plug and play and works great with iTunes (no Windows KMixer to bypass either).

I paid $260 shipped from http://www.scott-nixon.com and am willing to let it go for SOLD (3 lbs. / USPS Priority Mail with delivery confirmation from 12443) and I can accept either an U. S. Postal money order or non-credit card Paypal.

If interested, let me know.

I've seen some people say the Chibi is phase inverting, but the web site says, "normal phase! It is not inverting".

Did the design change at some point?

The original coaxial SPDIF Chibi Saru was phase inverting.

Scott has implemented normal phase in the USB Chibi.

Cool, thanks. Email sent.

PS

I didn't mean to poach your WTB thread, hartphoto. You can have first dibs for sure.

Actually not needed.

Through the various PMs....I Picked up a 2 month old Lite Audio DAC-AH M1 (the pacific valve modded version), dayton mini toslink adapter, & dayton 1m toslink cable. Shipped and all for ~20% less than buying the modded DAC-AH M1 alone.

Thanks head-fi!

I'm on the market as well, so if anyone else has DAC's $600 and under, please let me know.
