Parametric Equalizer - free software?

Thread Starter
I've tried the free 10-band equalizer from iTunes, Windows Media Player, and Musicmatch Jukebox. But I would like to try a parametric equalizer. Does anyone know where I can get free CD playback software that includes a parametric equalizer?

Steinberg MyMP3PRO and J.River MediaCenter PRO

+ some parametric EQ VST from KVR (freeware only).

GTP, do you mind deciphering the controls of WWAYM EQ.

I guess "character" control have something to do with the shrapness of the filter, but as half-width is defined by Q, what does "character" do.

User's Manual for WWAYM NWEq Pro does have some short description for these settings - http://www.wwaym.com/downloads/NWEQ_Pro_manual.pdf

There is another (10-band) Parametric EQ (freeware) announced you may like to check - http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=142172
