Credit @Solrighal for tweaking me to this one. If you like a Latin beat with lot's of percussion swirling around, crank this up ;)

Edit: Just realized he looks like John Cleese of Monty Python's Flying Circus lol

Okay that was bizarre! The first minute was like Monty Python graphics mixed with Heavy Metal The Movie imagery with some awesomely clean guitar work......and then my mind melted lol.

Pretty neat. And BTW, I kinda miss ZorroFox :)

Hint: You can't smoke or drink a cable.

There are ways to improve sound greatly
with such values, but does are not cables.
More software or low noise flor power suplies which can help the whole chain to sound better ( more subtle ).

But mental burn in helps alot to a guess, reading trough this forums.
Mind is key. biggrin.gif

Yeah, I personally don't believe a simple cable can improve the 650's myself, unless you turn the SE cable into a balanced one, and use a different amp. Even then, I believe SE amps can sound just as nice as balanced ones as well, it just depends on how they are designed.

So I suppose an actual cable recommendation for $30-$50 to actually change the sound for the 650's would be to buy a stock Sennheiser cable and throw a 4pin xlr connector on the end.

There you go, a more legitimate way to perhaps change how they sound for cheap. I believe any changes in sound would be due to amp design, and may or may not occur, depending on the amp itself.

+1

The amp and DAC (if used) play far bigger roles in improving/changing an HP's SQ than any HP cable. And you don't need to spend a lot on either.

Amp....dac.....new tubes....all are before cables, imo.

I think I'll hold off on the for a while. I need to replace the Sovtek preamp tube. The DAC would be next.

What preamp are you using a Sovtek tube in?

Shpongle is outstanding. A good test of resolution too. Get a lossless copy.
