Yes, a group hug at a head-fi meet.  Bring all our gears and let our ears decide, not specs and charts....

What about our wallets?

We should have it on Zorrofox's turf, Scotland is beautiful this time of year, and the beer is vastly superior to the piss water we drink here

Congratulations on your independence, and on that day I shall have few shots of 30 year old single malt scotch of the glenlevet label. I am of Scottish decent, and if Scotland when's it's independence, I might try to move back.

So which genre do you think the HD650 does best, for me I think it handles electronic music like Gary Numan very very well.

That's the thing about the 650, one of the best all rounders out there. Not good for classical though. You'll want an 800 for that.

Reluctantly decided to part with my HD650s. I love them for music, just found they lacked a bit on positional audio for competitive fps - if only I had the budget to keep 2 separate sets :frowning2:

We forgive you. And no one will give you grief when you come back.

Wouldn't go so far as to say it's bad for classical music.

(I haven't heard the HD800, but by all accounts it goes well with classical.)

Personally, I've no issues listening to classical music on the HD650. Not as 'sparkly' as other headphones in the treble (I like a certain amount of treble), but there is plenty of definition for me. It's definitely a nice headphone to kick back and relax to in the evening / night.

Also I don't place as much importance on soundstage with regards to a headphone.

Guys, regrettably I've decided to part ways with my HD650 either... after LCD-2 purchase they just don't have enough head time to justify sitting there in the box.

Whoever was looking for a barely used (3 months old, few hours of head time) HD650, there's your chance.
