...you'll be back...

I sold the HD650s two times, and bought them three times.

I sold mine, just because after obtaining the HD800.....unfortunately...it just did not get any head time.

Pretty much all of my flac files and high rez stuff sound much better on the HD800.....and for the most part, that is what I listen too.

I sold my 650 to someone in this thread, i wanted them to go to someone who really wanted a pair, so it all worked out very well.

That's what it is all about, spread the joy! When I sold my 650 the new owner was thrilled and they deserved to be in just such a situation. For me I had made the very hard choice to keep the DT 880 instead, but it was a very hard choice indeed.

That's interesting...I'm in the opposite situation right now.  I have both the 650's and 880's.  I've had the 880's for about 2.5 years and the 650's for 7 months...the 880's get almost no play time anymore so I've contemplated selling them...however, they are such a great headphone that I know I'll regret it if I sell them.  However, I prefer the sound of the 650 over the 880.  Both are great hp's, but for me the 650's seem to be a complete package.

Ultimately for me I just needed that little bit of top end that the 650 rolled off. Otherwise they were keepers.
