I was listening to The Human League, yes from the 80s, and couldn't believe the sound. The HD650 does electronic music really well. I did not see that coming. :)

That was my reaction when I first listened to the HD650's. I have had mine for about a month now and they are such a joy to listen to and I only have a beginner setup. I am still pleasantly surprised at all of the nuances in songs I hear with the HD650's that I have previously missed out on.

This amp takes wide selection of tubes some are cheap and some very expensive but you can have pairings which will let you to tweak sound to your liking so only your ears will tell you what is best for you

All depends on availability and price. I already spend more on tubes than I paid for assembled amp here on the forum. I think same seller still have freshly built unit

Oh ok, I like my music to have a lot of bass and texture, but not so much as to overpower the rest of the music; as well as, I like my music to have a warm undertone. I mainly like to listen to indie, folk, and some alternative rock. What tube suggestions do you have for my situation?

This is considered off topic I would recommend check and ask such questions in appropriate thread in the forum where you will find more experienced members. I have very precise hearing but can't accurately describe it in writing

I've had mine for about 7 months and it has been paired with what is my current setup for about 5 months. I'm still amazed by them every time I put them on. I'm confident this is about as good as it gets in this price range. There might be a slightly better setup out there for the money, but it would likely take a bit of time, energy, and money to find it (and like I said, even then it would likely only be slightly better). The sick thing is not only is it one of the best sounding setups in this price range but it competes well with more expensive setups (think LCD2/Lyr/Bifrost). You really have to drop a ton of money in my opinion before you start blowing the HD650's out of the water.
