I have had the HD650's for 3+years paired with a Decware CSP2....what a great combo!!!

also, added the Burson Soloist SL...

the HD650's sound fantastic with the Burson...detail, bass extension, delicate treble....a highly recommended pairing for the Soloist SL +HD650's

only recently have I fT-90elt the desire to try some other headphones...and the HD650's still hold there own against newer additions (mainly Beyerdynamic T-90)

Next venture is going to be a possible cable upgrade for the HD650's....stock cable for 3+ years, so I am intrigued to test those waters

viva the HD650!

Always great to see another Decware fan! Welcome to Head-Fi!

The CSP2+ is fantastic with the HD650's. Great synergy and a good price for a strong tube amp. Can't say about the BH until it is available. The CSP2+ is also terrific with the HD800's if you should ever decide to upgrade your HP's.

From your list of headphones I would say Decware CSP2+ would be a great fit...

The only headphone I had a problem with on the CSP2 was the AKG 701...although I think the addition of the trim controls for the headphone output on the newer CSP2+ solves this problem

not sure of the other amp you are asking about "BH"?

Can't say enough good things about Decware, not only is the sound quality, build, and price/performance ratio one the best,

the customer service is excellent as well, Steve is really pleasant to talk with and knowledgeable ....Lifetime warranty!!

The warranty applies to the first buyer only, right?

I believe the lifetime warranty is not transferable...however, if you buy a used Decware and then have to send it in for repairs, I believe after that, your product is again warrantied for life for you the 2nd owner

I could be wrong...either way, you have a product that can be repaired for cheap by Decware....they are not going anywhere and are small company that is easy to stay in contact with

oh, I just got it.....duh,confused_face(1).gif    BH stands for BottleHead....another great amp with the 650's

I will have to read more about any new models from them....

Since I am new to the forum, do I have to wait to be able to make a list of gear

or is it my set-up with Firefox?

I don't see the option on my profile page to add more info about my gear and set-up??

Just heard the BH with Speedball for the first time this weekend...it's undeniably good. Highlights for me:

*I loved how the BH is smooth and dynamic all the way down to very low listening levels. I'm a soft listening so this was a big plus for me.

*The bass response was just right for me. Tight with impact...never bloomy.

There's a time and post component.

Even if you don't need repairs, you can send have the seller ship the amp straight to Decware, and for $100 they will inspect the amp and transfer the warranty.  It could very well be cheaper than repairs if something goes wrong with the transformer.

Well Schiit's prices are so low...great bargains...made in america right?

I think with Decware you are paying more for that Lifetime Warranty...

great craftsmanship and quality/price ratio from both companies

I demo'd the Schiit Lyr at Chicago Axpona....I want one!!!!  Was very impressed with the sound on HD800 and LCD2 in the demo

I wanted to hear the HD650's on the Lyr

The hybrid tube/SS intrigues me,

also I have some great pairs of 6922's to roll with the amp,

I have a tube heaphone amp and a SS hp amp

So, naturally in this crazy hobby, I "must" also own a hybrid of the two atsmile.gif

What makes the Lyr so appealing is the great price/perfomance, it is soooo tempting
