Got a PM from Frank; Silver Widow Cable Pricing is as follows:

 

"The SW currently has a pre order price of £195 for 6ft and £235 for 8ft, this price will be active till the 1st january, when all my prices will be revised."

 

Info on the Silver Poison vs. the Silver Widow:

 

 

SP. is a stranded OCC Silver cable that has up to 1% gold and is Cryo treated, the SP was the first OCC silver cable to come on the market with added gold.

 

SW, is the stranded OCC Silver Type 2 Litz cable, the SW has a considerable higher percentage of gold in it then the SP, although i will be keeping the exact contents to myself, so that it is not replicated by others. The SW is the first Silver Litz cable to come to the market, just like my SP was. I have been working on the SW for 3 months now, and wend through 4 different samples before i found the right mix of the gold content.

 

My aim with the SW was to make the bass that is usually wanting in silver cables, better then copper cables, while retaining everything silver cables are loved for, but also making sure the cable was not bright, another issue with most silver cables.

 

The SW is a 25.5AWG cable, while the SP is 26, the larger gauge was chosen, simply because i found the 25.5 prototype i had to sound better.

 

What is a litz cable, to put it simply, its a stranded cables where all the individual wires are separately insulated, you could even call it a 320 wire cable :)

Nice thought... They will be going up in January.....So will the SP's due to raw material costs. The SW's are about 50% more expensive than the SP's and the wire costs 2X what the SP wire does. Quite a deal....

Got a PM from member "Snapple10" who was the one who claimed the 10% amazon coupon I offered on here. They were able to order a pair of HD650's and some other accessories with the coupon.

Well, after being away from the HD650 for years I found a kickin' deal for a new pair on Amazon the other day and pulled the trigger. Been listening for two days now and wondering why I ever sold my original pair (although they did have the older drivers). Damn this really is such a fine headphone! I'll probably be selling off my DT990s now. Crap. biggrin.gif

Curious to hear how it sounds driven with the Schiit Magni/Modi combo I should have by the end of next week. BWA-HA-HA-HAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!
