Are you already planning on buying used? Picking up phones used here at Head-Fi is one of the great ways to get into good sound for less $$. SR-225's come up regularly.

unfortunately, I can't yet access the trading forums... Plus, I want to hear the evolution of the sound from new to the end of the break in period. I'm thinking getting them from headphonia

How does the DAC In The Box sound? Is it better than the DAC-AH?

I was looking at the firestone audio website, and it seems the spitfire and fubar II have gone up in price. They are now $399 and $249 in AUD I'm assuming since the website is australian? This translates into about $314 and $196. Hope someone can double check that.

Hrm... There seems to be a Taiwanese firestone-audio.com that sells for the prices listed. My bad.
