Philips' headphones are crap. Yes, all of them.
The most absurd thing I have ever heard.

I have the she9500, they are pretty good for dynamic canalphones, much more natural- and neutral-sounding than the ep-630, however they don't isolate.

I've been generally unimpressed with Philips buds and canalphones so far.

But I haven't tried anything other than earbud models from Philips other than the HS520, which has alright bass, good highs, but nasily mids. Good cheap phones, don't rival the KSC75.

HP1000 (no, not Grado ) was said to be HD595 killer. Too bad the crappy construction quality killed that model. Plus price-wise some Philips models give good value. I was atleast happy with my HP840.

To say this, you'd have to try ALL of Philips headphones.

The few times lately that I listen to music with my CD/Minidisc deck and stereo receiver amp I use the PHILIPS 895 with great results. I find the 895 to be a very good headphone. I listen to my TV Movies much more any more and use the KOSS UR-40. I also use my portable radio more and use the portapro for portably or the UR-40 at home. I would use my PHILIPS 895 over many other headphones that I have owned some that cost many times more money for music.
