'Rogue Justice' by Geoffrey Household; a sequel to the more famous (in its day) 'Rogue Male'. Not as good as the original so far, but still a decent WW2-era adventure. It does feel a bit like he was pressured to write a follow-up to tell the tale of what the protagonist did next.

'Rogue Male' is tense, quirky and claustrophobic, and strongly recommended. 'Rogue Justice' is good, but not on the same level.

Before that, I read 'Quartered safe out here', a memoir of the Burma campaign by the 'Flashman' author George McDonald Fraser, which is a book I return to again and again, as it is a superb piece of writing and often laugh-out-loud funny.
