Peter Brook - The Empty Space

An engaging, interesting and thought provoking set of writings about theater. Highly recomendable.

A tiny little bit that I loved from a section where he talks about Opera (the union of theater and music):

"A musician is dealing with a fabric that is as near as man can get to an expression of the invisible"

I just finished reading Game of Thrones. To those who haven't read it, nor have watched the television show, I recommend seeing the show first or watching it a few months after you read the novel (or series). I watched the first season of the TV series when it aired, decided to read the novel after, and then watched season 1 again a week after finishing the novel. I didn't like the show that much afterward...

Hahaha that is such a bad picture for the cover of a book, I just finished a book about Emil Zatopek.  I don't like fiction books for what ever reason.

Daughter wanted me to read this, i saw the one season T.V. series and it was pretty cool so just started this book to supplement my very slow progress on the new Stephen King Dark Tower filler.  So this is the first book in the Dresden Files.

Read 'John Dies at the end'. A really good book with some very interesting writing in it. The idea behind it is cool but the way its told makes it a must read for horror fans.

Anthology, I'm three stories in, not as good as the prior one (A Romance in Twelve Parts, which can now be got as an Amazon ebook). But still very enjoyable if the reader allows it. First story begins with Walter Raleigh imprisoned, dreaming of a shadow Paris.

Hagakure - the Book of the Samurai.

I've been trying to get through it but with 2 jobs, 2 kids and a lot of research into Japanese sword making I don't have much time for reading a book cover to cover.
