Just finished Brother Odd by Koontz. I really enjoyed the humor in the character of "Oddie" with this third installment of this series even more than the earlier ones.

now continuing on with

Maximum Ride Schools Out-Forever by James Patterson.

Re-reading "The Pillars Of The Earth' by Ken Follett. Wonderful epic tale about early England (usually not my bag) and the realistic struggles of that time.

The Sony Reader rocks and I wish that publishers would release more books on the thing. Preferably on the Baen Books model, but Sony's LRF format and iTunes like model works well enough.
The Baroque Cycle is excellent. Stephenson really did his homework on the history and the philosophy. There is lots of very clever wordplay...

'Just finished Tom Sawyer. I've read it a number of times before. It's a pretty creepy commentary on the arrogance and credulousness that underlies American optimism. But then Huckleberry Finn is the Great American tragic novel.

I'm rereading William Gibson's Pattern Recognition for kicks. I'm rereading T.S. Eliot's Collected Poems to stay fit and healthy.
