An Ipod with a LOD is bulkier than an imodded Ipod, which'll connect to your amp with a mini-to-mini via the headphone jack. The imodded Ipod being more portable with an amp than a standard Ipod was a big reason for me to get it, in addition to the SQ.

In order for me to have maximum portability, specifically, running/jogging, I will need the headphone out. From what I read, in order to achieve an iMod, I have to give that feature up. That is why I stressed portability, then best sound quality and the ability to sometimes change things up.
The aforementioned, in my mind, is the best way to achieve the best balance w/o having to buy a secondary player specifically for running/walking; that is unless anyone else has a better idea?
And furthermore if I have this straight the scenario that is mentioned above would go as follows: iMod->Amp->mini-to-mini->headphone.
Max portability especially while running: iPod->headphone. That is of course given one scenario out of many, but a very critical one for me at this time, as I tend to run at least 20 miles per week, not to include Grinder PT (Physical Training) 30-45 minutes Monday thru Friday and oftentimes Saturday and/or Sunday.

Yes we PT a lot, and I travel quite a bit, depending on mission at hand...rant over...I do not need this mod at this time, thanks for the help.
