I don't think you have trouble getting rid of the ZD down the road, if you decided to go with the HD30.

Did Craig have a price point for the Hd30? How about a projected intro date? I know that he has several projects underway plus the building of the ZD's and was wondering if the HD30 is a full on production model?( I don't think any of his hybrid amps are yet)

I think the way he is doing this is to get the first batch of ZD's completed, move onto the EC-SS and then the HD30. He didn't give me a date for release when I last emailed him.

I appreciate the information about the possible group deal, as I would be interested, however, I don't want to turn this thread into a group buy thread. If you want to organize one, let me know and I can help with starting a thread in the appropriate forum.

It is premature to discuss price for the production unit or a group buy price at this time.

EC-SS

thanks tyrion!!!

after speaking with Craig I jumped on the bandwagon. He said they were magic with Grados and in your pic they are pictured with such. I hope they can power AKD 340s but time will tell. I should have mine in about 2 weeks, if it sounds like you and Craig have said it's going to be a steal of an amp. After I get it I am going to have a few folks over to listen along with the Heed and MMF Xcan amps.

And in an effort to retain my Eddie Current Fanboy status, I have also ordered an EC/SS from Craig. I'll be curious to see how it does with cans other than Grado's.

Whoa, I could have sworn I was the 1st to hear about the EC/SS and that I had already called dibs on #1. Ah well, the email is sent so my order should be in the cue as well

i have listened to senn 580 and 600 both sound great...its a slim margin but i like the grado match up best. sorry, dont own audio technica, akg or beyers to make a more rounded assessment.

Well, in a couple of weeks I'll be able to comment on how it does with Senn 650's, K701's and K81DJ's. I'm looking forward to it.

Nothing like taking your time to post impressions.
