I am watching Miami vs. Florida State right now. I am just wondering has been there any Asian player in the pro/college level of American football?

Timmy Chang (former QB at Hawaii), Hines Ward is half Korean, Dat Nguyen (formerly of the Cowboys, now retired IIRC), Will Demps (half Korean), Eugene Amano (Filipino)

Too bad you didn't ask yesterday.

He was great in college, and was doing ok in preseason, but his last performance was like 3 INT and that was that, too bad.

BTW, I grew up respecting the power of This guy as a rival on the Cowboys. Did they retire his number? They should!

The only really good one I can thing of is Hines Ward.

Just out of curiosity are you going for Miami or FSU?

Well, one of the records he held in college was for.... most career interceptions... which I can't really consider "great"

I tihnk there was a Korean kicker ~ 10-15 years ago.... Lee. I think he played for the Rams when they were in LA.

Dont quote me on that though, Im roughly 50% certain.

He passed a whole lot more than everyone else. That's probably why the INTs are a record as well.

Oh yeah, I remember that dude. I think his name was John Lee. He played for the St. Louis Rams when I was going to college there in the 80's. I think he was like the most accurate kicker in NCAA history at that time but choked big time in the NFL. He was missing chip shots.

apparently he is 100% caucasian, but he was adopted by a Japanese-American father and considers himself Japanese. He's with the Saints now.
