While their selections sometimes do seem a la Homer, there are many others which are fantastic. There are some Bill Evans, John Coltrane, Louis Armstrong and Nat King Cole. Those are the ones I strive to get. Add in the Rolling Stones, The Beatles and Frank Sinatra and you have some nice selections to pick from.

Speaking of which - does anyone here have the DCC Nat King Cole albums?

I have some nice sound downs from the 60's and 70's, some great quadraphonic 8-tracks and some r2r too

Also found that FM yields great HiFi sound with the proper components..especially for Jazz and Classical, as well as Classic Rock and Metal too. I really like the vintage sound and have a few different HP outs to choose from both SS and Tube.

Actually(while I am typing this), sirius radio Classical Hall works pretty good out the BM1 and Marantz 2230 SS Receiver, with the HD580's with 600 grilles and Cardas Cable..stoked on it actually for PC usage / a nice medfi laid back rig

I guess I should elaborate on my earlier post. I bought a few, becuase I liked the gold color. Great reason, huh? Anyhoo, this was before I knew what they really were, so all but one are opened but in mint condition.

Opened:
Boston - s/t
The Who - Who's Next
Van Halen - s/t
Queensryche - Empire

Sealed:
Queensryche - Empire (I LOVE that album)

My dad also gave me an opened and well-loved Pink Floyd - The Wall. Disc 1 is mint and disc 2 has a few tiny scratches.

Pretty soon, I will be able to buy a house with these discs

I have heard that it is a bit bright. I, unfortunately, do not have a silver CD to compare to. I think it sounds good, but it has been a while since I last heard it.

Anyone who loves these, look into the Dr. Ebbetts Beatles remasters. Good stuff.
