Got another question for the tube experts: I have a tube which has hizz and noise. I would like to give it some hours of burn-in to see if it disappears, but wondering if running with a "faulty" tube could damage the ZD in any way.

Clean the pins

On these old tubes it's necessary to clean the pins. This includes using an ultra fine sandpaper rubbing the pins up and down (not around) and also using something like Caig Deoxit.

Thank you for the advice. I will try to do that, even though it does not answer my original question. I'll send a mail to the man himself.

My ZD shipped last Friday but unfortunately Craig made a small mistake and it went to the wrong address. It should have come into Finland, but it accidentally went to UK. We agreed with Craig that the recipient of the British to send it to me then when it finally arrives to him. So I have to wait a few extra days.

Ouch, sorry to hear that Sture. Hopefully, it will not be delayed by much, and arrive at your place very soon.

I don't know how the duty attitude to that point. Perhaps recipient does not need to take a package, only to re-send the package to me, and I have to carry out the valued added tax.
