I live in CA and my I know the voltage is 110. But I'm confused about the Amp rating on power conditioner of 15 or 20 amps.

Does anyone know the difference?

I THINK it means the amp of your socket, usually normal sockets are 15 amp and dedicated lines are 20amps. correct me if wrong

Unless you run dedicated lines in your home you are running 15A. 20A plugs are typical insert and twist variety, not the 3 prong straight in type.

That said, typical headphone setups barely put a dent in 1A so buying a conditioner rated to even 2.5A is fine as long as it uses the standard 15A 3 prong plug. A PS Audio PP300 would be such a device.
