My LD2+ / 595 combo sounds really good. Really well balanced and musical. A good step up from my Harman Kardon receiver. Haven't heard them out of much else, other than my Samsung YP-U2 DAP. Sound remarkably good from that considering, mind you.

as promised here's the frequency response of the nano when driving a HD595. Man that little thing has guts. Doesn't look bad at all for a device that small. Heck much better than my Turtle Beach Sound Card and so-called 'headphone out' of my Technics receiver.
