What's YOUR Beef With PA2V2? - Page 6

Thanks for the tip Optional. They do sound alright from my ipod but overall everything is a bit too weak.. so i wanna get something

@ tubestack : about the left-right gain settable thing... i have this neurosis from when my ipod mostly only played from 1 ear for like 2 years... the right side always sounds louder to me.. so this sounds nice

does anyone know any other amps that are about the same price/quality?

Hmm 3 years already and Gary's still at v2. I wonder thought if any of the mentionned "issues" had been resolved since then. I just emailed him 2 days ago and I was thinking that it could be a good investment for me. Do you guys think it would benifit me if I'm using (iPod Classic 80Gb + Sennheiser HD555)?

I found the PA2V2 to be good w/ Grado's like the SR60/80/125 or Alessandro MS1.

I have two PA2V2.I am crazy about them.
Suggestions for Gary for PA2V3:
-go dual opamps (2 seperate opamps ,SQ will dramatically improve-better seperation, focus, dynamics, less noise, etc)
-go one size up on Hammond case-3.6 x 2.6 x 1.1,see Mouser> 1593PTBU in attractive transparent blue color
-keep soft touch volume knob, its unique, have not seen anywhere else

i love my pa2v2 and think its perfect for costing only 60 dollars, but if i could change something about it, i would make it a little smaller.
