hm, i dont ship items out often, but are there any additional fees if you ship from the US to Canada?

Fees? What kind of fees? I shipped through the post office and there are no fees in addition to the international postage. You have to fill out a simple customs form but other than that, there's nothing to it. Any fees, like customs related fees, will be incurred by the recipient.

No fees at USPS. The receiver gets no fees also if you mark the customs form as a 'gift'

oh cool... is international shipping necessarily more expensive though, eveh if it doesn't travel that far?

say im from california and i ship to Canada... would the costs be the same as me shipping to New York (relatively the same distance)

Yes it costs about the same if you ship via AIR mail (cheapest), but that takes 6 days to 2weeks unlike 3-5 days shipping within the US.

By Law any non-gift package over $20 CAD get charge taxe, And the shipping compagny charge brokerage fee to collect the taxe and fill the form The receiver pay all those fees

Gift over $60 CAD get charge taxe and the shipping comapny charge brokerage.

UPS ground charge outragous brokerage fee to the receiver. Which make a very piss off buyer if he is unaward of the charge.

Search in this forum for UPS and brokerage or USP and Canada

I believe FedEx Ground also charge a a large amount but less than UPS. I think there is some fedEx (not gound, air or something) only chage $7 for brokerage Not sure which service charge what I never used FedEx

USPS only charge $5 for brokerage.
