I cant believe Storm Digital is keeping that thread alive.

1) They simply have to send Elnero his $,
2) Then Elnero post about getting the $,
3) Thread no longer usefull and slowly make its way into the shadow,
4) Personal bonus: keeping me from getting realy upset to the point of hitting someone already on the floor....

The ball is in your courtside Ken....

Amicalement

Well all I can say is I hope elerno gets his problem resolved and I hope that I and the others who ordered a D02A will recieve them.

I can't speak for anybody else but all my interactions with ken have been positive, even long after he had my money and he is usually quick to respond to my emails.

If what was mentioned in this thread is more true than not, well I am not saying it was an OK way to behave, but I personally have not had any problems, yet.

You realy like to try to have the last word....

By doing this not only you risk to loose your money but our sympathy and become a regular adversary. Finally you will end up with Ā«ennemiesĀ» in both camps....

Realy, realy amicalement this time.

EDIT:

this is a fairly simple situation, one which you seem intent on making into something more involved.

You're right about the simple situation scenario:

One honest customer VS a dishonest, disrespectfull, and now thanks to this warning thread, a disconnected dac builder...

And speaking of integrity I dont have to distort what others are writing in a futile attempt to win an argument. Sorry to tell you but you lost this battle many posts ago.

Post back all you want you are no longer worthy of a reply. Savour your victory all alone.

I had prepared a reply to Ken's post and have it saved but seeing as the post has been deleted I won't bother fanning the flames further.

I wanted to let everyone know that a resolution has been met with the help of a third party mediating. This third party has sent me $300 USD and I will keep the damaged DAC, Ken will then send the money to the third party within a specified timeframe and I keep the money I have received in limbo until then. From my perspective while it's not exactly what was originally offered this is fair, part of the original refund figure he quoted included shipping costs to ship the DAC and if I'm keeping the damaged DAC I have something of value, albeit limited value, to sell to help make up a bit of what I've lost.

Lastly, I would just like to say that my intention in posting this thread was not to hurt Ken or his business but to gain resolution, inevitably I knew it would have an effect on his business but how much of an effect was up to Ken, if the situation had been resolved promptly then I think it would have had a minimal effect. That it dragged on so long will probably have much more of a negative effect. In the end though it never should have come to me feeling it necessary to post this thread at all if Ken had simply followed through with his promises in the first place or had been more honest, upfront and kept the lines of communication open I don't think any of this would have happened and I'm truly saddened by what has occured.

As far as potential buyers dealing with Ken are concerned I think this thread speaks for itself, Ken seems capable of providing excellent customer service and can be very accessible but in certain situations it all seems to fall apart, I'm not exactly sure why it did in this case, Ken still isn't speaking to me, but it doesn't seem to be the first this has happened either. In the end I feel somewhat bad that posting this thread has inevitably hurt Ken but I don't regret posting it because it will hopefully serve to help potential buyers make an educated decision.

Thanks to all who showed their support and to those who helped resolve the situation.

Since there has been a resolution, I am going to lock this thread.

I should have updated this thread a long time ago but my internet access had been severely limited until recently, so given Ken had apparently disappeared, going through the process of getting the thread unlocked and updating it got put on the backburner. But in light of what appears to be Ken Law and Storm Digital trying to make a comeback I thought I should update this thread now though.

Unfortunately the resolution worked out with the third party fell through, Ken didn't pay the third party by the required date so I refunded the third party the money they had sent me. Shortly after, at a severe loss, I sold the damaged DAC I had for parts. With Ken's disappearance I thought the situation was over and I chalked up my losses as a learning experience. With his recent re-emergence he is still is not speaking to me but has stated through the same third party that he intends to give me the partial refund we had agreed upon by June 27th, once he has generated some funds. Given the past history I have a hard time believing this or his other promises but I would like nothing more than for him to follow through with these recent promises, not so much for myself but for the others who have lost money and faith in the industry because of their experiences.

NOTE: This was originally posted in the Action Against Storm Digital thread yesterday but thought it should be posted here as well for consistency.

Well, I got in to work this morning, checked my email first thing and what do I find? Yes, that's right folks a Paypal payment from Ken! Not only that but he tacked on an extra $50 which apparently was for the troubles. I have to admit I didn't really think it would happen so I'm rather amazed and grateful. This bodes well for those others waiting on DAC's and/or refunds, it seems this time at least Ken has been true to his word.

Elnero, you were very lucky you made this thread. I wonder if Ken has repaid anyone else for stealing their 500$.

Speaking of which, I hate to bring up threads that deal with bad people, but I was really bothered today by what I saw.

Reading through this thread:
http://www.head-fi.org/forums/showth...11#post3114111
Crazyface mentions that ken law is back at it again, this time round with new stuff, and that crazyface is trying to hear impressions from others.

Oh boy, call me a conspiracy theorist, but it seems like ken law is trying to hype up his new products.

I'm not much of a forgiving person when it comes to things like this, so naturally there is only one thing on my mind: after the whole D02 money heist, how many poor unsuspecting people will get taken this time round (the 3'rd time on this forum...)

I am closing this thread again. I re-opened at elnero's request to post the resolution to his problem and then forgot to close it.
