Pro-Ject Head Box II

Hello Head-Fi folks,

A few questions:

1) Does anyone know anything about these amps?
http://store.acousticsounds.com/brow...tion=equipment

2) Would they be a good match for an Sennheiser HD 650?

3) How does it compare to a PA2V2 Headphones Amplifier?

Thanks in advance

If you do not want the PA2V2 then I would consider the Go-Vibe version 5 or the new Xenos.

Yep, listen to mrarroyo... Unless you absolutely want an amp with RCA inputs and a 1/4" output.

why the pro-ject amp? i have both the amps. i don't have the cans but i heard the cans need powerful amps. i think both can drive them but the only question is how well. the pro-ject amp is very clear. not expensive but i'm thinking maybe if you can add a little more money you can get something better.

... 5 years later and I just picked up the Head Box II as an upgrade to my -very much loved- PA2V2 for my home setup, relegating the PA2V2 to perform its magic at my office during the day.

It connects to my AT-LP240 phono pre-amp to drive my HD-598's, and it does an excellent job.

As for the comparison to the PA2V2, I honestly have to say I cannot tell their sound apart.
