I've done a search on this topic and didn't couldn't find anything relevant to the problem I'm having.

I have a 5.1 speaker setup connected to a X-Fi Fatal1ty card and for some weird ****ing reason the front I/O bay's headphone input does not work with the THX Setup Console (nothing happens when I place a check in the 'enable bass boost' box." THX Console only works when I plug the headphones directly into the soundcard. I hope this is a bug with Creative's software.

In the meantime I'm not going to wait xxx years for Creative to come up with a solution. I was wondering if I should get a Grado 1/4 to 1/8 plug Adapter or should I get a Grado 1/4 splitter? The problem with the splitter is that it won't fit with my sound card (I can always use the 1/4 to 1/8 adapter that came with my HD595)

I checked Plantronics website and came up with this: http://www.plantronics.com/north_ame...86/prod3090125

dunno if that switch will induce any quality loss but it sure looks like a good solution to my problem

I don't want to bend all the way to the back of my computer just to remove and insert plugs just so I can use the THX Console settings with my headphones. I really hope Creative fixes the I/O problem soon or I'll feel ripped off purchasing the Fatal1ty
