How easy or difficult is it to replace the DIN plug for a normal headphone jack?

Mine on the N 6330 gives a crackling sound on the right side.

Cracking sound? i guess could be some interference or bad contact happening on the connector.

Maybe I didn't put it right

I have to touch and move the cable to get sound on the right side, or turn up the volume loud. There's something wrong, not sure what.

When  there's sound and I sit still, it remains,

i've  had similar problems in the past, all of them cable was broken somewhere, mainly near the connector.

Yep,, on most of this cases the driver is perfect, the cable is usually the guilt part, the wear usually break the copper wires over time, so yeah,  recabling always worked for me.

Well, if you can solder, it's rather easy. I posted the pinout some posts above. Just connect left and right - (or left and right +) to the base or ground contact of your headphone plug and the other right cable to the ring contact and the other left cable to the tip contact.

Saba and Uher, those are twi i've never heard, i  know that Radio Shack also rebranded Koss Headphones during the 80's, but never heard they did that with AKG too.

SABA and Uher were both now defunct german electronics companies. SABA was mainly known for their tube radios and TV sets, later they built some nice early solid state receivers and other hifi stuff and folded in 1986. Uher was a big name for reel to reel tape machines of all sizes.

The Koss phone made by AKG would be the Realistic Pro 50 which was based on the K250. A certain head-fier with the infamous AKG cabinet used to own one some time ago... see http://www.head-fi.org/t/316201/sold-realistic-pro-50-akg-k250-j

The Pro 50 were based on the K 240 Sextett, the K 250 were an early version of the K 240 DF.

Hm, Fitz seemed to think differently and he had a lot of phones to compare...

If you compare pictures of the Realistic Pro 50 here

http://www.head-fi.org/t/479591/fs-realistic-pro-50-rebranded-akg-k250-sold#post_6506998

with the picture of the K250 here

I'd say they look quite similar and certainly neither looks like like a DF shown here in the lower left corner of the pics.

Fitz didn't care much for the Pro 50 nor the K 250, certainly not enough to spend time comparing them to anything.

The Pro 50, which predate the K 250 by a few years, have the Sextett radiators which are not found on the K 250. The K 250 have the DF baffle design and sound signature, in the main.

The picture of the K 250 you showed isn't a K 250 at all.
