Are Westone Comply foam tips similar to ER6is?

They're nearly $5.00/set of three cheaper than the Etymotics, and I find the latter just don't last that long.

What about tube size?

Sonics?

The Comply foamies will fit Ety er-6i and also Altec Lansing iM716 perfectly. They will fit your ear differently. Their std. size is a bit slimmer, and shorter than Etymotic - which feels better to me. The std. Ety foamie always felt over-sized to me........and of course the Comply are also available in a short foamie, slim foamie, and colors of both the std "Peach" and Grey. The Ear Plug Superstore http://earplugstore.stores.yahoo.net/cofotipeco1p.html
also has a Comply Trial Pack (1 pr. each std, short, slim).

ComplyFoam Tips VS SilentEar Reusable Ear Plugs

Has anyone tried these (SilentEar Reusable Ear Plugs) compared to Comply Foam Tips?

Thanks for the info. I'm trying to figure out how to maintain a supply of the best foamies for my e5.

I think eventually I'll get fitted for a pair of Westone UM56s.

I've got the er-6is and use the orange foamies. I ordered some Westone comply tips, and they do work. However, they are NOT the same. I think the Westone tips are actually more comfortable, but they are made for a slightly smaller sound tube. You won't have a problem using them though.

good luck

Also, the Comply's are "gummier" and seem denser/more substantial ... for what that's worth.

I don't know whether the Earplugstore comply tips are identical to the Westones, but I have some of Earplugstore's 'slim' size and they are a bit smaller around than the ER-6i medium foams. On me that translates to greater comfort and ease of insertion, but isolation that's somewhat less dead-quiet than the ER foams. Sound quality is very good, and they seem to be becoming my favored eartip at the moment.

More commentary about fit.
First day wearing the std size Comply on the street, I discovered that the left side was great, but the right side seemed blocked or stuffy. Soon realized my earcanals were different from each other. That realization led to trying the std. Comply in left ear, and a slim Comply in right ear. At first all seemed right with the world (same sense of hearing/comfort/isolation). BUT, I came to the conclusion that isolation was not what one should expect from foamies. So, the answer for me is to use the Std Ety foamie in the left ear (being a bit larger than std Comply), and std. Comply in the right ear. Additionally it should be noted the std short Comply,, for me, provides no more isolation than the med. Shure Softflex tip (which is what I choose for daily wear).
