Impressed: Sennheiser HD 202

Thread Starter
I was at my local record store last week and realised they've changed all the headphones. Every listening station (Technics SL1200Mk2 -> Sony integrated amp) is now outfitted with the Sennheiser HD 202.

Usually I bring my own headphones in (usually KSC35, rarely HD25) but I was curious and decided to try these out. To my surprise - they DON'T sound bad at all.
And then I found out that they retail for about US$30. In absolute terms they can't hold a candle to the more expensive phones, but when you look at all the sealed phones that are reasonably affordable to the average joe (<$50) they're amazing!

I wish they had these out when I was looking for good closed (and cheap) phones. Bedroom DJs your wait is over. No need to save up for the HD25 (or it's cheap sibling HD25-SP).

Good fit, isolation and ok in the looks department (black, not silver)
I'll listen longer the next time I go shopping for new tracks, but I think it's safe to say we have our new *Winner* for the Low Cost Sealed Headphone category.

My friend just bought one from ebay...she got it for $24...I don't know if she has received it or not but it's good to read a good review on it.
