Adaptor cable for S-001 MkII

I have just bought the SR-001 MKII system and would very much like to try using the S-001 with my SRM-717. I can`t find any ready-made adaptor cable.

Has anybody here found a solution ?

Thanks in advance

Tom

They were electrets so they didn't use the same diaphragm.

They really do sound a lot better out of different amps. I enjoy them with the SRM-007T.

I now only have one pro set, the 003 babystax which doesn't need much juice as I sold the 404s. If I were to keep the bigger pro sets I would use an SRD 7 pro/Mk2. Either way, I prefer the t-amp sound though I would use one of the better variants like the Trends TA10 or Super-t.

I feel I may be in the minority here as my tastes and preferences are not resolution or FR or any of those other Head-Fi things, I'm after what I consider to be the most satisfying listening experience. The t-amp does it for me.

Regarding the "NIB" SR-Lambda Signature/SRM-T1S auction, I received these pictures from the seller:

Also got this in e-mail replies:

It does look brand new, works perfectly, but I cannot prove that it has not been used prior to my friend owning it.
Sounds weird, but the Sigs do look to be in nice shape other than the pads.

The Stax History page indicates that the Lambda Sigs came out in 1987, and the SRM-T1S came out in 1993...

Damn, I just realized how addicted I have became to anything Stax-branded!
I am currently awaiting three incoming shipments with Stax goodies:
1. SRD-7 Pro
2. SR-X/MK3 and SRD-7 MKII
3. Stax gamma cable (to be used on the SR-X/MK3)

Do you guys know a cure for this "disease"?

My main cure is that I refuse to pay these hyped up prices but the side effect is that when I see a good deal I jump on it so I often have two phones of the same type. I never sell any of my stuff so it usually ends up with somebody I know. My brother just got a full rig on extended loan, Rotel RCD-971, SRM-313 and Lambda Signatures and he keeps raving on how good it sounds. I think I just made a new member of team Stax...

That might actually happen.
Cause the reason for me to buy the SRD-7 Pro are to check how the energizer/dynamic amplifier stand up against the SRM-007t. If I like it, then I have a suitable amplifier to drive a pair of K1000's as well!

As I am already talking about dynamic amplifiers...
I am tempted to try the Lyngdorf TDA 2200, powering Omega II's through the SRD-7 Pro.
It is a fully digital integrated amplifier, which have received excellent reviews for its ultra detailed and clear sound. I am only a bit worried about the 2x200W 8ohm output power, since the SRD-7 Pro are rated at 30W max. But if I keep the volume down I should be safe...

Edit:
A colleague at work have this amplifier, so I might end up listening to it in the near future.
Just have to wait for the SRD-7 Pro or MKII to arrive, and him to return from his Thailand vacation.

Yow! The Lyngdorf is too rich for my poor blood. I have to think cheaper. I'm gonna see how the K100s sound from the Haffler to start with and go from there.

Yes, it is not a cheap solution (cost about $4000.00 in Norway).
But if it can replace my Electrocompaniet DAC, Stax SRM-007t and Doxa pre-amp/amp, then I should end up about even.

True, as an all-in it's a more reasonable price. Should cut down on the number of boxes and interconnects nicely.

I have put WAY more than 30W into my SRD-7s, they take it just fine

If you put too much power into the srd-7, could it damage the headphones or only the srd-7?
