I hope I will be able to do some serious listening, and then write down some words this upcoming weekend!
My SRM-007t have both Pro and Normal bias output, so I can use it for both 'phones.

Well, I have finally done the SR-X/MK3 vs. SR-007 (Omega II) comparison I have been thinking about for a couple of weeks.
It is in no way a long or detailed review, but I hope some you find it useful anyway...
Some background history:
The O2 have been locked down in its flight case the last month, since some days after I received the Lambda Pro's.
About two weeks ago I received a pair of SR-X/MK3's (thank you
aznsensazian), and I have been switching between the Lambda Pro and SR-X/MK3 since then.
Until earlier today, when I connected the O2 for the first time this year...
Lets start:
The O2 are the most complete and overall best sounding headphone I have ever listened to, and since there already are multiple O2 review around here I wont go details about its sound quality
I would rather concentrate on the areas where the SR-X/MK3 differ from the O2.
The first thing you notice when you put on the SR-X are that they have a bright sound signature, and a rolled of bass.
Not that the O2 are dark, but the SR-X have a more noticeable upper midrange and treble. This became very clear to me when I replaced the Lambda Pro with the O2 as the comparison phone. Lambda Pro's are somewhere in the middle when it comes to brightness.
They don't go as far down in the low frequencies, or have the same bass punch as the O2. Wether that is caused by the smaller diaphragm or less ear-pad insulation, I don't know.
But they still have the bass nneded to get my foot tapping on my favorite rock tracks.
The midrange are among the best I have ever heard, in my opinion on par with the O2 and S-001 MKII. Its so clear and unstrained, and reproduce female voice so beautiful and natural that it feels like she is standing straight in front of me.
Both headphones have a large sound-stage, where I can pinpoint every instrument on the stage. Excellent!
Last weekend I tested the SR-X/MK3 and SRD-7 combo driven by a Doxa 70 Signature amplifier, and to me they improved a lot from the added power of the Doxa amp. A lot more control in all frequencies.
Will be interesting to see if the O2 improves likewise as well (I have both an SRD-7 Pro and an SRD-7 MK2 on the way).
Summary:
No questions asked, the O2 is an overall better heaphones. But considering the money involved and the SR-X' age I am stunned how good they perform.
A killed buy in its price range I must say!

All impressions are done using the Stax SRM-007 amplifier, and my usual Electrocompaniet DAC.
Last word to those who own a pair of SR-X/MK3's, but have not listened to the Omega II.
You don't know what you a missing out of! he he
