I can lend you an SRD-6 to use until you get an amp. It's not perfect but if you have a receiver or amp to use it'll tide you over.

One is for sale on eBay and the other isn't?

JK!

I think the only difference is that the T1S has a balanced input and 2 single ended inputs and the T1 just has single ended inputs.

That's it basically though there are also some slight component changes between them. The T1 is great with all of the Lambdas and it shines with the Made in Japan tubes.

There's a T1 on Audiogon right now:

Not sure if that's a going rate or not. I am tempted but I really don't have the cash right now. Perhaps someone here can buy it before I do something stupid?

I think the Audiogon one is a little expensive but if that's what you want....

I want that black SR-5, SRD-7 set on ebay Germany but the guy won't sell them to me in the US, it's a real bummer because that particular type doesn't seem to come up in the US too often

What in specific are you looking for (energizer, amplifier, ...)?
You find a Stax SRM-T1S (with Lambda Pro) on eBay. No idea what the going rate would be though.

I'm open to all options and am just looking for whatever will do them justice. I saw the T1S and it looks good (Better than the T1, which is what I started looking for first), but I have no idea how much is a good price to pay or how high the auction will end up going. Does anyone have any rough estimate on the value of a T1S?
The T1S can go for more the 600$ and the T1 slightly less. You could get lucky but don't get your hopes up. There are people on ebay driving up the price on anything marked Stax, be it good or bad. You're best bet is to buy a an amp bundled with headphones and then sell the phones or find somebody who just wants the phones so you can keep the amp.
