best price vs performance IEM??

Thread Starter
Hi,

Another interesting discussion brought to you courtesy genesis. he he...

Which is the best price vs performance IEM in the market today?

I think it's either the e2c or the er-6i.

I think earphones such as ep630 or cx300 should also be considered here but I have not heard them so don't know exactly...

Write in your opinions....

I think it all depends on what you take into consideration when you look for 'best value'. You're much better of to select a price range, then consider your options.

iM716 without a doubt.

HD switch = Ety mode, and it's supposedly derived from the ER4 drivers.

Bass switch = Pumping bass that imo doesn't wander off into 'boomyland' and still keeps the music darn great.

Either way, this is like 2 IEMs in one. Sure as hell beats my 5 Pro any day

You mean UE Super.Fi Pro? I'll have to look into these... Do the cords go over the ears?

for sound quality, iem will never worth the money. i think you're paying for sound AND isolation. so if you're looking only for sound quality, you have to look for some other things

There is are no good price vs. performance budget IEMs. It's an oxymoron. Were cost not a factor, you're looking at E4s, ER4s. Don't skimp on IEMs. I learnt that the hard way.

From reading his older posts, I know he means the UE. The cords don't go over your ears.

Not really. Say that to team UE5c.

I think you'll find that 95% of people are more than satisfied with E2s or CX300s

He didn't ask if you thought IEM's were a good deal. He asked which IEM's gave the best cost/performance ratio.

Maybe 95% of the general population are more satisfied with e2's or CX300's, but 95% of Head-Fiers? Wake up and smell the coffee.

E2s certainly did fine by me for the last two years, sure they don't sound as good as IEMS that are 5X more expensive, but on the go I certainly don't require near-perfect audio performance.

Bear in mind that needs and budgets vary considerably and as such the whole notion of value for money goes out the window... with that in mind, I'm still waiting for someone to suggest the E500

UM1 for me.
Details and accuracy aside, it's the best deal you can get for an IEM in terms of enjoyment vs price ratio. If I want better sound quality, i'd go for fuller sized headphones.
