Thanks. My grandmother is doing much better now. She had a series of operations throughout the spring and summer. Along with my grandfather's deterioating health and some unexpected craptacular episodes in my own life...June through September have been pretty rough. Hopefully October will be a bit more laid back. As for the second part, most have lost hope, so did I at many points. I won't say it will happen tomorrow, but it is on my mind a lot lately and is near the top of my agenda of things to do in my downtime (which as of late has not been much).

GOOD STUFF!My experience with the these cans was all too short. They just were not for my ears.

Nice solid review there but I guess sound really is subjective. I guess I'am the odd one out over here who hates the GS-1000's sound. The MS-PRO however sounded brilliant to me....

I dont think you are the odd man out .... lots of people dont like the GS1000. I am one of them. I much prefer the $299 MS2i.

Still, despite my disagreeing about the sound quality of the GS1000 this was an excellent review.

Awesomely done review, Zanth!

Excellent massive review! I prefer the RS-1 to the GS-1000 but so what, kind of a chocolate over vanilla comparison. Neither is right nor wrong.

Many people will prefer the RS-1's to the GS-1000's I think, that is one reason I could not choose an ultimate personal favourite because I so enjoy the RS-1's. For the longest time was mainly listening to jazz, electronica and small ensembles. The RS-1's truly excel here. For larger scale works I really like the GS-1000's and for rock, the PS-1's. So I'm lucky very very very lucky to have all three to pick and choose from depending on my mood.

Thanks for the in depth comparison and easy read. Doesn't make me hate the gs1000's any less however. :P

Biggie.

Great finish to the review. I think the RS-1 will always be a true winner compared to the GS, HP, and PS prices and frankly is a headphone you must at least hear in your lifetime. I like my HP-2 for rock, but like the GS for most other music... that is when I don't go to my K-1000 first.

Great Job Zanth Way to weather the storms of life and be able to finish the review!
