Just got the hd555 today 
First decent cans i heard and i can comfortably says it blows away my £800 5.1.
Am curious about one thing though...
My setup:
Soundcard: Soundstorm sound card
Receiver: Marantz SR-5000 (connected to sound card via spdif coaxial)
HD555 plugged to Marantz..
When i switch on the marantz on the headphones i hear a faint sound starting at a frequency around 10khz and rises gradually until i can't hear it anymore...
What could this be? Or more important, whatever it is, can it be damaging my headphones?
