I was checking out www.rivercables.com and they seem to be rather good. Any opinions on these guys? Couldn't find much information on them.

I bought these puppies just before Christmas and they have been a revelation. I can't tell you how much they suit my listening tastes. I love close listening with lots of treble and tight...

It's very small player, so I like it. I have Clip+ since Christmas and I'm very satisfied!

First of all let me say this is one of my favourite BA driver earphones I have ever heard. That said, being a basshead, these didn't deliver in the bass department - I can't deny the fact...

I've had this card for quite a while now, and I have to say its a really nice card - a huge step-up to my on-board motherboard's audio. At first I do have to admit, it didn't feel like the D1...

Long story short: These earbuds, shouldn't ever be bought, when they come free in your iPod package, its fine to look at them, and try them on. If you know someone wanting to buy these,...

River cables?

I actually just got a pair of their Starflex speaker cables. I haven't been able to use them yet because my house is underconstruction but I should be done in a couple of weeks. In terms of getting some information on them you can go to www.audioholics.com and type in river cables in their search function. Speaker cables are like interconnects and headphone cables. Some people swear by them and others just want something that has decent specs. I think River Cables are more on the side of the skeptics and audioholics definitely pushes in that direction as well. So take everything with a grain of salt from anyone but they seemed like a decent choice to me as well because of their build quality, attractiveness and their relatively inexpensive price points. I'll definitely let you know my experience but I'm a skeptic as well of cables that claim to be able to do magic things.
I didn't mean to assume that you were getting speaker cables but much of what I said probably applies to most of their other cables.

I picked up some rather cheap XLR IC's and a single RCA connector from someone on the 'gon actually... I figure if they're bad it wasn't too huge of a loss, and if they're great then excellent.

I got them the other day, and they're decent -- no complaints. My first pair of XLR IC's so I really haven't anything to compare them to. I might pick up a pair of Cardas Neutral Reference to compare if I get the chance.
They're a bit tacky though...

River Cables- I just ordered a couple of
cables and am expecting to take possession soon.Is it true that copper is not that much less of a loss than silver? In an article I saw, the conductibilty differences were only a fraction less for copper than silver. Silver is also a week metal that could bend very easily and lose it consistency and create an uneven electrical flow.
I ordered two APX Pro Guitar Cables and a pair of Audioflex Gold Plus Analog Cables. Anyway, the look like they are contructed very well. I will also keep you posted. ScottSMRnyc
