question about the shure warranty..

so it's on ebay and all.. if i buy it, when does the begin date of teh warranty start? how does shure keep track of the records.. by the reciept, or by the manufacture date?

I believe that it is by the receipt.

From my first hand experience, it was by the receipt. The day you pay is when that clock starts ticking. Had to send my E5C back to Shure. Good news is that they didn't bother trying to repair but instead sent a brand new pair out! Very, very cool thing to do! Just cements my desire to get a pair of the E500's.

if no receipt, then by manuf date according to batch number on the plug (I think)

hm, i wonder if an ebay reciept is accepted though?

actually ebay prices aren't that much cheaper. i rather pay 8 dollars more and support earphonesolutions.
