Any problems with the HD 280 Pros?

I am curious about the build quality and durability of the Pros, are their any major problems I should be concerned about? I have heard about the headband breaking, for most within warranty. Is there anything else I should be made aware about them before purchasing?

Also, please no comments on how they sound. Everyone has their opinion and that is not what I am asking about. If you have an opinion about them, go here please. Thanks.

There were reports of frequent cracking and breakage in the headband but I have heard that that problem has been resolved. I have had mine since December with no issues or problems. The only thing I would add is that the clamping force might be a bit much for some.

I own the headset version since summer last year.
I use it for gaming and it accompanied me to many LANs including it been thrown into the bag without care. No problem at all, it looks all new.

I just posted this thread a few days ago about a balance issue I might have with my pair, but I haven't really tested it yet to see if it's really the headphones. I was hoping to get more responses in that thread...

Vise grip head-clamp
Cracking headband
overpriced
Heavy

IMHO the V6, K240, DT250 series cans are a better value.

Dull, severely flat sound... to the point of being flawed. NASTY treble bite that exagerates sibillance in vocals.

I sold mine for $30 and was happy to let em go.
