WTB/WTT for: PCDP with Digital Out

Hi all,

Looking for a PCDP with digital out; I keep missing the FS ones here . I had recently bought a brand new Sony D-NE20, and while it is very nice, it's tougher to use with digital out (the on-player controls are actually underneath the unit, and the wired remote control is not quite to my liking).

I'm willing to trade this for another unit, +/- cash depending on the unit and value.

Looking for something simple, with top or front mounted controls, and an accessible digital out. Looks are less important than function; I just want it to function well. Reading CD-R's is a plus, but not abslutely required.

I also may be willing to sell my NE20 separately, but would prefer to trade first. If you aren't interested in a trade, I would be willing to buy straight up as well.

Please PM with any offerings or details, or if you'd like pics of my Sony.

Thanks!

I have a panasonic SL-CT430. Its the Japan-release sister to the CT570.
The CT430 has optical output and 10 second uncompressed ESP buffer.
I have the wired remote (broken shirt collar clip), earbud phones and extra AA battery holder.
Unit is in VGC but I dont use it any more since getting a D335.

Let me know if youre interested or want to see pics.

While I chat more with Garrett on his Panny, also looking for a Sony D-335 or D-465 (which Garrett and others have recommended).

Here are some pics of my Sony D-NE20, if anyone is interested in a trade for the above or a similar unit +/- $. Last pic shows that I paid $149.99 + shipping for it (about 3-4 weeks ago). Thx..... BTW, this has pretty good sound from analog out; drives my Beyer 250-80 well.....

Hmm...it may be worth mentioning, at least in my experience, that the first Sonys to give digital output without being on AC power were the first gen ESP2 portables like the D-E775 and such. So if you're planning to run this on battery power for a digital out, you won't be able to use the 335 or 465 (I've had all three of the models I just mentioned).

I dunno how it goes with the Panasonic.

Thanks, Filburt, good points. I will be using the player pretty much only in the bedroom, though, either standalone or with a Zhaolu DAC. So I wouldn't need to worry about batteries and life; it'll be run from AC.

Thanks, though! I'll also look into some of the older models....
