I really like this player, but don't use it that much anymore, so considering putting it up for sale.
Cosmetically, it is in very good condition, no scratches, dents or the like. The player is built very solidly, with a metal top shell (and I think the whole case is metal as well). It was made before skip protection, around 1990 I believe, and is more transportable than truly portable.
Operationally, the unit works fine except that occasionally it does skip while playing, but not so often that it really bothers me while listening. I don't have the ac adapter that came with the unit, only the player itself, but it accepts two AA batteries and the DC in is rated for 3V.
The headphone out is quite powerful, so I don't think an amp would be needed, however there is a line out, just in case.
