The geneology thread (or "Know your fellow Head-Fi'ers") - Page 3

LOL, my granddad got hit by a trolley while directing traffic in Italy. My other grandfather was a tank commander in the Pacific, and one of my grandmothers was a WAVE (I've been told that she lied to her base commander about a sick brother stationed at Pearl and this was how she got transferred to Hawaii).

I guess I'll just resurrect this 8-year-old-thread because it's interesting.

My great uncle wrote the music for the TV shows The Beverly Hillbillies and Petticoat Junction.

I'm also related to Leonard Bernstein by marriage.

Not that I married Leonard Bernstein. A distant cousin (5 times removed, I believe) did.

Not a whole lot in my family tree, however, I once appeared in an episode of "Doogie Howser, MD" and I was mentioned by name in a Dave Barry column.

ex-Prime Minister William Lyon Mackenzie King (guy on the Canadian $50 bill) was my great great cousin, or something like that.

I don't think there's anyone else "famous" in my family's history.
