If anyone is organizing any roadtrips from US locations near me [Detriot, etc], please let me know. Otherwise I may consider flying down as it seems to be cheaper to get a flight to California than it is to visit my family in Alberta.
Ditto, I also have family in Alberta , I'de love to hike along with you Jay if you'de be willing to deal with my bratty ass, whether it be a cartrip or flight.

hehe... you are probably right. Never been to California anyways... though after the last one it doesn't seem like I've been to NYC either as I didn't really get a chance to see any sights.

We'll see.

Have you asked the parents about this one? It was hard enough to convince them to let you come to my place... This meet is a *bit* farther.

If you hung out with the Defender of the Universe (aka DOTU and Voltron), jp#'s, agile_one and myself, you would have seen some sights.

I told my mom today that i might go for 2 days and she said "may be" which means probly I can convince my parents to let me go. The only problem is that I will have to leave on friday right after school and then come back home very late on Sunday. Its on my dad's birthday and its such a long time in advance that I am not sure yet.
Jag, if we meet there, you better be at your best behavior and bring some ice just in case

Lastly, wakeride, I will believe it when I see your red neck in the meet because your wife's birthday or some trip or buying a new knife or something always seems to derail your plans to attend our meets!
Ouch! I've felt warmer ice! I'd better show, I don't want to be "that guy"

Happy to bring anything in my sig as well as some music, just let me know what y'all need!

*edit - 1911 you should definitely bring your apogee mini-DAC... I wouldn't mind hearing that thing again!

Yeah, but with you as a chaperone how could they say no?

If I am to be considered a chaperone... I may have to say no. Passing up bar hopping with the older head-fi'ers is too much to ask.

My parents didn't care that I went to your place, err, they were fine with it as soon as I asked, and I already have been given premission to go to the next national meet.

Slacker, I'm sure we'll get along fine in real life. Hell, I've met a couple guys I've hated online and in real life we got along very well. Nothing to worry about.

You mentioned something about them being worried about you bringing your 'expensive gear' over to my place at the last meet. Thats all I was referring to.

Not necessarily, so long as one wanted to organize something, and people want to come. There is quite a while between our last meet, and what is being discussed in this thread.
