I saw someone in my dorm's elevator with UE900s. I was going to talk to him about them but his floor wasn't high enough to have a legitimate conversation.

They're not meant for Head-Fi'ers; they're a consumer headphone, so they have a warm and not-so-detailed sound signature.

Worked at a swim meet this weekend. Sad to report many B***s (Solos and Studios), Bose QC15's, and lots of Apple earbuds. I did see one kid with Sennheisers and one with what looked like the new B&W P7 (may have been the P5).

Overall a rough weekend :(

The P7's are actually quite big (more fat), and have a black faceplate. It shouldn't be hard to differentiate

I saw a Sony XB X-Factor headphone in a parking lot yesterday. It was kind of awkward because it was some high school/teenager wearing them into a grocery store, of all places, with his family. When his sister/girlfriend/girl friend called out his name, he didn't seem to hear her.

I saw a guy on the CTA yesterday with a pair of B&W P5's. I nerded out on my girlfriend about them and she just yelled at him "he likes your headphones!" So the guy came over and we talked hp's. It was pretty cool.

In my four years of HS, I've seen tons of Beats in every variety, various Skullcandy IEMs and on-ears per usual. More notable sets I've seen include a TF10 and an M50 - both of which I recommended to their owners - a Grado SR60/80, a Sony XB600 (who later 'upgraded' to a Solo), a few Bose sets and some JVC circumaurals I couldn't identify. I saw some VSonic GR06s and another set of TF10s while I was out in Manhattan last week, though.

Hey, being straightforward will be always better than awkwardly approaching him. :P

Not a headphone sighting but I over heard one of my classmate uses B***s for gaming. Then comes the pain... He try to proof his pair is genuine and offer "high Sound Quality" then one of my friend yelled at me "Hey Billson! He own a pair of B***s"...

Sadly, my secret is about to get unveiled frown.gif another 2 more classmate know I am a "headphone guy!"

Covers - someone at a meet and someone at work found out I was the one posting on the Buying Portable thread because he realized that I had helped him one time on there, and he found a reference to something only me in real life would have knew that I posted on another thread. Fricken detective work. You can imagine the types of texts I got from him afterwards.

Saw a BA200 and the Momentums and the MDR-1R, and a bloody amazing Walkman - Line Out - vintage Yamaha HP on the Skytrain yesterday.

Indeed! Glad that two classmate only know "I like headphone" and didn't know how many headphones I have and how much. Most importantly, how much I know about it! Currently, there's only 2 of my friends who knows what I am really doing! The remaining 3 only knows I like headphone!

I agree with your last sentence! It's not fun! I got the feeling of one of my classmate who just knew I am a headphone guy today trying to convince me to support the "Dr" audio company! Shall invite him to buy house one day for a mini test drive evil_smiley.gif
