Yeah, I am gonna let him listen to my DJ1s once I find the perfect song to for sure make his jaw drop. 

This is a kid that blindly takes all the colorful adjectives that Monster slaps on the Beats packaging as fact when they don't release any detailed specs. And he has the mindset of "more bass = better sound"

Not to mention he loves mainstream rap and hip-hop, which I find very hard to find anything that gives me that wow factor in that genre. It all sounds so stupidly simple and artificial to me, personal opinion.. Anyways I am sure I am over thinking it and any song will blow him away lol

Nah they are listening to music. Every Beats user in my school does that whole 1 earcup off thing (even the kids with the Studios) I ask what they are listening to and its always rap. So I reason it like "At least they aren't missing any good music" Because I personally dislike rap  But yeah I can't do that, when I had my earbuds and listened with 1 bud out I would start a song, then my friend would start talking to me, next thing I knew another song was starting! I'm like "Dammit I didn't even catch that sweet solo!!!"

I just don't get why they invest so much money into "high quality" headphones just to passively listen to music and not even pay attention to it. 

Hahaha. Try Snoop Dogg "gangsta" rap, or even Dr. Dre's own songs.  I don't really listen to Snoop, but I tried some of Dre's when I got Beats before. Then I listened to the Phillips SHE3890, and I forgot about my Tour.  Now that I mentioned it.. Where is that thing..?

not entirely sure what they were, i had never seen this model before. They were a medium sized on ear pair but the cups were black rectangles, i couldnt get close enough to see any writing but they looked intriguing to say the least

the new Harman/Kardon on ears? 

 

saw 2 pairs of mdr-xb700's today better than beats i guess

Lots of Urbanears today.. But I saw a Sennheiser IE8 on the Light Rail. Made my day.

I saw one of Sony's new XB series headphones. They actually look pretty sleek.

Saw a pair of the Realvoice today. Probably some of the most easily noticable IEMs around. 

"We are the world 25 for Haiti" video just came on. Lots and Lost of DT770's. A few Sony MDR7506. Some Sony MDR-v700, of course a Q701 (Quincy wearing them),..........

The nice thing was, not a single pair of beats in the whole video not even lil wayne (mdr-v700 i think on him)

I wear my W4s with 1 ear in and 1 ear off when I'm out all the time - I really don't see what's wrong with it..

He won't need that kind of bass for the music.  Besides, I think having accessory headphones studded with diamonds worth $1M ruins the charity meant for the video.

Saw a pair of k240's in town today. I recognised it as the older brothersomeone who used to give me heaps of crap, and in particular said that my k242's were gay because they had holes in the back of them.

Seen lots of AKG K518 since I came back to Austria and watched a rather senior guy try out the HD 598 at my local store when I was checking the fit on the K550, had a short discussion with him about their comfort and sound, I think he went on to buy them.
